The existence of an energetic field of the human body and all living things is a long known fact and has been recently widely studied in the western world. Many leading edge scientists now believe that energetic and informational medicine will be the medicine of the future.
The basis of this is the fact that all living systems convey energy and information through semi-conductors. This semi-conducting communication network is found throughout the body. It reaches every organ, tissue, cell and molecule. It can process huge amounts of information within nanoseconds, store information or process signals and also make decisions.
 
I am not referring to the nervous system although the nervous system is part of it. This information processing system is comparable to a computer network even though much more powerful.
When the body is capable to conduct energy and information smoothly the body works at its peak performance, that means all organs, tissues, cells and molecules, work integratively and synergistically together, this is the state of homeostasis!
If this informational system gets overburdened with all kinds of accumulated stress from toxins in food, air, water, medication, pathogens, emotional problems, negativity etc, corruption and errors occur. The more the innate healing and repair system gets disturbed the more the body starts working dysfunctional, developing symptoms and diseases.
Energetic healing is based on leading edge principles of quantum physics or quantum
mechanics. Some 100 years ago Albert Einstein discovered the famous equation E=mc2 (energy equals matter multiplied (twice) by the speed of light) meaning that there is no difference between energy and matter and that all matter is energy or wave fields. Also in Quantum physics everything is interconnected and has an influence or impact on everything else.
The body, mind and spirit are an inseparable unit.
We know that the physical body is affected by the mind. The way you think, your belief systems, your perceptions or emotional state directly influences your body's physiology. You can think yourself sick - but you also can think yourself well and whole. Everyone knows about the 'Placebo-effect' or the 'belief or perception effect'. Studies done with certain drugs and compared with placebos in order to determine the effectiveness of the drug has revealed the fact that the placebo is actually the more effective one. The opposite, the expectation of something negative, is also true and has a huge (negative) impact on your body. (Think about the devastating effect if someone is given the message - you have only 6 more months to live. If you buy into it - you are on death row!)
The main difference between the medical view of the body and the view of a holistic practitioner is medical professionals still reduce the body's function to its parts like a machine that operates in accordance of the Newtonian principles ignoring completely the role that energy and vital or invisible force plays in health and disease.
Contrary to that approach and applying the newest findings of quantum physics, energy medicine practitioners know and use the fact that every living creature is an energy and information processing being.
It is also a fact that all biological dysfunction of the body (accidents excluded) starts on the energetic or informational level which leads to malfunctioning of cells, tissues, systems and finally organs and that all healing must take place on the level of this vital force. It is comparable to deleting informational faults or viruses on your computer.
If we refuse to look at this invisible vital force and accept the existence of energy and information in all living beings, we spend our lives (and money) chasing ailments one after another trying to make the physical 'parts' work.
